President Donald Trump’s tax cuts have been a political hot topic since the moment word got out that a Tax Reform Bill was in the making. 2.4 million jobs have been created during Trump’s first year in office, and they are partially credited to the massive tax cuts enacted by the Trump Administration.
“To lower tax rates for hardworking Americans, we nearly doubled the standard deduction for everyone. Now, the first $24,000 earned by a married couple is completely tax-free. We also doubled the child tax credit. A typical family of four making $75,000 will see their tax bill reduced by $2,000 — slashing their tax bill in half.” -President Donald Trump, State Of The Union Address 2018.
Walmart boosted it’s minimum wage to $11, AT&T, Wells Fargo, and Comcast have promised bonuses and pay hikes, all a result of Trump’s tax cuts. Apple, thanks to the tax cuts, is pouring $38 billion into the American economy, opening a new campus, and providing 20,000 more jobs.
American, Southwest, and Alaskan Airlines, Bank of America, Nationwide, and dozens of other companies are raising pay, giving bonuses, or hiring more employees due to the financial freedom provided by the tax bill. Jobs are opening up across America, unemployment is plummeting, and people are beginning to skyrocket to success.
“I promised that my policies would allow companies like Apple to bring massive amounts of money back to the United States. Great to see Apple follow through as a result of TAX CUTS. Huge win for American workers and the USA!” -Donald Trump
Despite the repeated positive effects of Trump in office, Democrats have continued to decry him and his actions as nothing short of horrific. With 3.5% economic growth, african american and hispanic unemployment rates at an all-time low, 2.4 million new jobs, and consumer confidence at an all time high, Liberals seem to be recoiling from American success.
Let’s take a look at just how the Democrats are responding to the tax cuts.
Nancy Pelosi is one of the most prominent progressives to respond harshly to the tax reform. Proving herself to be entirely removed from the reality of American citizens, she scoffed at the benefits they are reaping, saying, “In terms of the bonus that corporate America received versus the crumbs they are giving to workers to put the schmooze on is so pathetic… It is insignificant.” When confronted about her callous statement, she stuck to her opinion. “A banquet for everyone up here. Crumbs for people down here. I’ll repeat that.”
Nancy Pelosi, worth roughly $30 million, has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that she is completely out-of-touch with normal Americans and their civilian lives. To refer to thousands of dollars saved by each family, millions of new jobs, bonuses, and pay raises as “crumbs” is about as detached as one can get.
“This tax plan doesn’t live up the commitment I got from President Trump, when he told me he wouldn’t support tax reform that benefited the very rich at the expense of the little guy.” – Sen. Claire McCaskill
Democrats seem vehemently opposed to the concept of the already-successful reaping benefits alongside middle and lower class Americans. Ignoring the stunning effects of the tax bill, they still paint it as evil despite the praise of millions of Americans of ALL classes.
On the other hand, many liberal progressives seem entirely uninformed about the bill, it’s contents, and it’s incredible results. So blinded by utter hatred of Trump, they can’t see facts or reality no matter how good it is.
“What a disgrace. That’s what this bill is. It’s an absolute disgrace. There is no reason for a single middle-class family to pay more while every single corporation pays less.” -Chuck Schumer
“A vote for the Republican tax bill is a vote for:
-Tax cuts for corporations at the expense of middle-class families
-13 million more uninsured Americans
-Increasing the deficit by $1 trillion” -Kamala Harris
Reading these statements one has to ask… do they even know what the tax bill enacts?
“It’s an absolute travesty that Senate Republicans chose corporate profit over the American people tonight. We will not forget.” -Cory Booker
“Americans are angry. And they are right to be angry. Over & over, again & again, they watch this Congress ignore their problems while jumping to do more favors for billionaires, giant companies, & campaign donors.” -Senator Elizabeth Warren
Statements like these flooded the internet thanks to progressive politicians, celebrities, and social justice warriors. With every word, they proved themselves more and more to be uninformed and uneducated, or hateful and spiteful, or disconnected and detached, or blinded by liberal propaganda, or… all of the above.
Despite the avalanche of contempt and animosity that crashed through the internet, the tax cuts are favorably affecting millions of Americans.
President Trump is making good on his promise to create jobs, boost the economy, and pave the way for better lives for Americans “of every background, color, religion, and creed.”
